I pretty much do not believe in PiD, I think half of all these 'clues' is just a hoax from The Beatles themselves. You know, to get people more interested. The Beatles were really funny guys, they liked all these things. I like searching all these 'clues', discovering new 'pieces of puzzle' in the album covers and in the songs myself. Because it is just interesting and nothing more. Sometimes I find myself doubting, but I just can't believe Paul was replaced. It's just impossible. And I don't think John, George and Ringo would agree to replace their closest friend Paul. Even if there was an uncountable amount of money. If they did, they're less than people. And I don't believe it. I know they're more than just four men, so they didn't replace Paul. I know, I noticed he have changed a lot. But all people change, aren't they?
Well, that's a long story to write, I can start writing refutations for clues, that have been found in everything Beatles related. But do I have to? I think no, as nobody want me to.
So, the one thing I can't understand...
Paul said he broke his tooth, while was riding a motorbike with his friend Tara Browne - he fell off the motorbike, chipped his tooth and damaged his upper lip & eyebrow (all on the left side of his face. Take a look here
). As you have noticed (I'm sure you did), he has a scar upon his upper lip (adherents of PiD Theory interpreted it as an oversight of the plastic surgeon that 'made a face' of Paul's replacement William Campbell). He got that scar in this accident, which took a place somewhere in November of 1966 ('fans' started to think Paul died in this accident. Why? Let me explain - Tara Browne, who was with Paul that day, died in a car accident a month later. People were led to believe it was Paul). In the Anthology book Paul said he grew a mustache to cover that scar.
But, we have a little problem then...
The 'Rain' video was filming somewhere in summer of 1966. And in this video you can clearly see Paul's broken tooth and a scar upon his upper lip. Uncovered. [See here
Strange, isn't it? Paul said he covered a scar with his mustache, but we see him with a scar and broken tooth and without any mustache. Before, as he said, that accident happened at all! Probably, Paul just want to make us go crazy or something...
I know the one 'clue' that always makes me doubt. He doesn't actually... I just think it's mad, but I know this 'clue' is kinda true - when you're listening to the very end of 'I'm So Tired' backwards (when it comes into 'Blackbird'. Y'know, that bit when John says something like 'Monsieur, Monsieur, let's have another one?'. You can take a listen here
) you can clearly hear the line 'Paul is a deadman, miss him, miss him, MISS HIM'. I've been listening to it with my mum (she don't believe in PiD, too), we clearly heard that line. Well, maybe that is just coincidence? But as this line (I mean 'Monsieur...') doesn't make much sense in the song... maybe they've put it there just for fun? Maybe they really made a hoax about PiD themselves? They knew what it sounds like when it's played backwards and they've put it into the song as a 'clue'. I find it quite interesting, but I don't find it really funny, though. Paul lives his life, and in some people's minds he's dead. I wouldn't laugh, if I was on his place.
